Duanwu Festival (端午節, Duānwū Jié) or Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese festival held on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar. It is also known as the Double Fifth.[citation needed] It has since been celebrated, in various ways, in other parts of East Asia as well. In the West, it's commonly known as Dragon Boat Festival.
Zong, zongzi, or Chinese rice dumplings are a traditional Chinese food, made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo leaves. They are cooked by steaming or boiling. In Cantonese, these rice dumplings are called joong. In Taiwan, the Min Nan call them tzang. Laotians, Thais, Cambodians and Vietnamese also have similar traditional dishes.
As part of the Duanwu Festival for the next coming week, my sister had to prepared some Zong for the festival prayers and some offered to the ancestor and also giving out to friends and family as they together celebrate the festival.

For the next few week, I guess we are going to have day and night Zong Menu, since my sister make so many. Hahaa. Bon Appetite
